Jack Dorsey, the CEO of both Twitter and payment service Square, said that Bitcoin can be the world’s and Internet’s single future currency in a decade according to The Times on March 21. Similar words have been echoed by many tech and finance experts in the past for Bitcoin and the digital currency is expected to stand the test of times and will establish as the single currency of the world.
In a recent interview with The Times Dorsey said –
“ The world ultimately will have a single currency, the internet will have a single currency. I personally believe that it will be bitcoin.”
Dorsey also further added that unified Bitcoin acceptance as a single currency of the world could take a decade and earlier.
Dorsey is also a CEO of payment service Square, which recently added another feature to buy and sell Bitcoin directly from the Square Cash App. The company Square also went out to release a story on the benefits of digital currencies.
However, Dorsey also pointed out the flaws in the current version of Bitcoin –
“ It’s slow and it’s costly, but as more and more people have it, those things go away. There are newer technologies that build off of blockchain and make it more approachable.”
